Introducing our October Brand Ambassador, Andrea! Meet @thatteachernerd who is obsessed with Yoobi products and Halloween!

Tell us about you!

• My name is Andrea
• Current 4th grade teacher
• Currently in my 8th year teaching
• Obsessed with picture books, fandoms, Halloween, and video games.

What is one Yoobi classroom item that you cannot live without?

I cannot live without the composition books! In upper grades, we are avid note takers so we go through a lot of them. Plus, I am constantly taking notes myself during important meetings or online classes. So, having fun and cute composition books helps elevate the note taking experience.

What got you to start your platform?

I enjoyed learning cool lesson ideas or advice on how to teach certain concepts from other amazing teachers. As time went by, I wanted to connect and share my ideas too. I gained new teacher friends in real life, especially those who enjoy nerdy fandoms like I do!

What is your favorite part about being a teacher?

I absolutely enjoy the small victories I get to see with my students every day, even through the toughest days. At the end of each school year, we reflect on how much progress we have made and it makes me proud of how much they accomplished.

What drew you to Yoobi products?

I had an old coworker friend from retail reach out during her time at Yoobi to donate the blue boxes of supplies to my classroom. It was my first time receiving a donation to my class. The following year, the entire school got the blue boxes of supplies. I just admired the generosity the company had for our community and their mission to donate school supplies for every purchase. Marvel collaborations sealed the deal!

What is your favorite way to spend your free time?

Socially, spend time with my friends over lunch. Introvertly, I love to rest in my free time. I love to be on the couch with my snacks, and watch my favorite shows such as mini series from Marvel.

What is your favorite grade to teach?

I have only taught 3rd and 4th grade, so it is hard to choose! I would say 3rd grade because it is the start of them growing up to be independent, higher-thinking learners which makes them very eager and curious. It is such a fun age group.
